How it feels
You will feel pressure and hear the handpiece, but numbing means no sharp pain. We check in every few minutes and pause whenever you ask.
Steps
We numb the area and wait until you say it feels thick.
The decay is cleaned out and the tooth is kept dry.
Composite goes in in thin layers, each set with a blue light.
We shape and polish it, then check your bite with thin paper.
Aftercare
Wait until the numbness wears off before eating so you do not bite your cheek. A little cold sensitivity for a few days is common.
